Hospitalization

SIH will open with 41 inpatient beds, divided between surgical suites, medical beds and close monitoring for patients after surgery.

Inpatient care is not a department apart: it is the period in which the result of an operation is decided. Pain monitoring, infection prevention, early mobilization, keeping the family informed — these ordinary, repeated acts are what separate a technically successful operation from a patient who walks home.

Care is organized around the clinical protocols and quality standards that SIH's founding physicians practise in the Swiss, Belgian, French, German and American hospital systems.
